Chile BBQ - Carne Asado


In Chile, what would life be without the barbecue? The first time I was in Chile we started getting invited to fiestas involving some sort of BBQ and it never stopped happening. There is always meat to be cooked on the grill, whether its chorizos, filete, salmon, congrio, pollo, jamon, or some other tantalizing piece. The meat (carne) is usually cooked with care, as the Chileans take pride in their skills behind the grill. A night out is never complete without a bottle of pisco and some vino tinto (red wine).
Que seria de la vida en chile sin los asados? La primera vez que estuve en Chile nos empezaron a invitar a fiestas con asados, y desde ahí los asados nunca mas pararon. Siempre hay carne para hacer a la parrilla, chorizos, filete, salmón, congrio, pollo, jamón, y otras presas que apetecer. La carne es normalmente cocinada con cariño, ya que los Chilenos toman orgullo de sus habilidades detrás de la parrilla. Una carrete nocturno nunca esta completo sin unas botellas de Pisco y vino tinto.
